The key to psychological health and a sense of completeness is not just in reducing symptoms. It’s in cultivating all the dimensions of our wholeness. This 4-week course is based on a map of the human psyche and human potential that spans ages and cultures, from Jungian psychology to the wisdom of nature-based societies.
This course will change your perspective. It is deep work for those who are ready to get to know themselves. To finally change your deepest habits and expand the limited identity you once assumed you had to live within. Understanding the greater view of this map will also help you navigate more easily through your inner voices, and know exactly which ones to follow.
The next course runs:
July 7th - August 3rd, 2019
spaces are limited & COURSES tend to sell out,
So i recommend registering as soon as you can.
Week 1: The FOUR DIMENSIONS OF WHOLENESS & FRAGMENTATION
In this class, you’ll learn about the four dimensions of wholeness, and the life that is possible when they are all present in you. You’ll also learn about the four fragmented dimensions or sub-personalities that form during childhood for our own protection and survival. These sub-personalities include the inner critic, the addict, the victim, the rebel, the people-pleaser and more. You’ll be given exercises to help you identify just how the dimensions of wholeness and of fragmentation currently show up in your life.
Week 2: SHIFTING THE APPROACH: FROM CUTTING OFF ASPECTS OF OURSELVES, TO HEALING THEM INSTEAD
In this class, we’ll look at how to shift your thinking about your sub-personalities from one of self-judgement to a more healing and effective approach. You’ll learn how to identify when a sub personality is activated, and what to do about it. I’ll share specific tools that will not only help you get through the difficult moments of an activated sub-personality, but will ultimately heal those sub-personalities for good.
Week 3: GRATITUDE, INTEGRATION, & LETTING THE GIFTS COME THROUGH
In this class, we’ll discuss how to find gratitude for the sub-personalities that may limit and frustrate us now, but genuinely protected us in childhood and adolescence. This gratitude is the beginning of our ability to heal and become more whole. We’ll also discuss how to create nurturing relationships between the aspects of wholeness and the aspects of fragmentation.
Week 4: PLAYING THE LONG GAME
In this class, we’ll discuss how to maintain a healthy balance of the four dimensions of wholeness in the long term, and how to check-in with your inner roundtable of characters for help with life decisions you feel unsure about. We’ll also compare the perspective of this map to other philosophical and psychoanalytical ideas of ‘self’ and ‘ego’.
How It Works
Just before our start date, you’ll be invited into an exclusive group on Mighty Networks with your fellow classmates. Mighty Networks allows for more intentional community building and sharing, and will not draw you into the meanderings of Facebook.
On Sunday, July 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th, you’ll receive a written, audio and/or video lesson and some homework to do throughout the week.
On Saturday, July 13th, 20th, 27th, and August 3rd, we’ll meet at 10am PST for a live 90 minute conference call to discuss the topics of the week. These calls are recorded so you’ll have access to them any time if you miss one or all of them.
In the conference calls, you’ll have an opportunity to ask questions and share your stories, insights, and challenges about the topic of the week.
Our private community on Mighty Networks can be used throughout the course to engage with your classmates. It’s my hope to create a very real community, even in our virtual setting.
